Patience for myself
If we pay attention, God will give us revelation.
“The keys to patience are acceptance and faith. Accept things as they are, and look realistically at the world around you. Have faith in yourself and in the direction you have chosen.”
“The key to everything is patience. You get the chicken by hatching the egg, not by smashing it.”
“Patience is passion tamed.”
Thank you God for revelation, I must now reflect, apply and learn from my ways.

Sister Lock Consultation
Today we had a consultation with Kirigo and it was a pleasant experience. She was very welcoming and treated Abijah as a client. By that I mean, she asked her questions, educated her on the history of sister locks and solicited questions. Our appointment is set for Aug 23-24th and we can't wait.

Saying yes to Sister Locks
Abijah is a typical 6 year old who loves anything pink or purple. So needless to say she's a girly-girly and adores hair. I'm not that great at styling her hair, but am fortunate to have someone in the area who styles it bi-weekly. Last year my husband suggested we lock her hair, but I wasn't feeling it. Less than two weeks ago, the mother of her swim buddy stated her daughter was getting locks. Let me say that God's timing is perfect! I'm so thankful that he placed me in her space to hear those words. When I got home, I shared it with my husband who obviously was o.k. with it. I starting searching the website and thought about a good friend from the Coast Guard who got sister locks. I contacted her and she provided me with the name of the person who retigntens her hair. Kirigo heard the excitement in my voice and scheduled a consultation for us for the following week. Mind you, I still hadn't discussed any of this with Abijah :-D When I asked her if she wanted to get sister locks, she wasn't sure what they were. I showed her a picture and she immediately said, "yes" with an excited voice. Our appointment is tomorrow and we're both excited!
